Saturday supper was spent

at my parents house. We celebrated Keagan's 1st birthday. Imagine, a year ago April 30th we were all excited to have this wonderful child added to our lives. We had cars as the theme for the party and watching him eat his cake was so funny. Aunt Connie made cupcakes and we wore party hats, had sloppy joe sandwhiches, icecream, pretzels, and chips. Keagan was the life of the party as usual. It was really neat to be with mom, dad, connie, tim, jason, brenda and keagan. I really enjoy our little get-to-gethers. I love the fact that my family are close and we try to get together as much as possible.

April is the month that Mom, Connie, Brenda and I spend a day together in dayton. Always on the calender that way and it has been that way for last few years. This year was no exception but that we stayed over on Wednesday night and Keagan was with us. I really enjoyed being with my dearest mama and sisters. Keagan was certainly seeing lots of new things and lots of new people. I am certainly glad that we got to go again this year.

Connie had a birthday on the 17th. Ha ha she is another year older. I know that this makes me older as well but I can handle it :). I wonder if she wanted us to do a cupcake for her like Keagan got one to eat. All over the face, hands, and body lol... I think it is safe to say no.

Well I am going to go for now
I hope all have good day...

Looking at the calender today

showed me that my frince and I have been together for 3 yrs. I call him my frince because I think boyfriend is for highschoolers, man friend is weird and actually he is partially my frog still trying to be my prince. So I decided to take the two words and make one. Crazy I know but hey that is me... crazy and loving it....

Tim when he wasnt expecting it. He has issues with pics so I can never get one of him and me together. :(

Like any other we have had our moments but for the most we have had an interesting relationship. I have learned alot in this relationship and as the saying goes learning is good but it has been sometimes difficult for me to learn things from it lol.... I guess I am not a very good student... We are very opposite of each other. Another saying comes to mind is opposite attract. Well I can definetly say yes they do in this case. I never thought I would date anyone that was that opposite of me. So I am going to say Happy anniversary to me :)

Dad had his surgery today. The rotator cuff ended up being torn more than they expected so now I am not sure if this means a harder therapy, longer off work ( poor mom and connie) lol or just the fact that I think that he was in surgery longer than they expected him to be. The pastor kept announcing prayer for him but I think that they should be praying for mom and connie more than anything. He can be a pain to them if he so choses when not ill and so I am sure it will be even worse :). The fact that he wont be able to work will drive him nuts.

Mom's sister Portia passed tuesday morn. Porky was the love of my life when it comes to aunts. She made me laugh, cry, and just plain happy to be with her when ever the chance was there. She made many memories for me in my life growing up and I will so deeply miss her. She made you feel awesome and made you smile, laugh til you cried, and if you were having a bad day no longer when being around her. I remember when Aunt Diana and her worked at the county home and which ever worked second shift they would come by and pick me up sometimes and I would ride home with the other one. I feel like I was her princess when I was growing up :) I will forever miss my porky.

Well that is all I have for this time. I will see if I have any new pics of keagan so you all can see how much he is growing. He is my buddy. I want to be the best aunt possible to this little tyke. I want him to remember the fun times and tell his children I had 2 best aunts. Connie and Sharon... :)

This is my new ride :)... who needs toys when you got baskets?

My aunt sharon and me :) I love making faces when it comes to pics just like my aunt sharon does. It is fun to be expressionable lol... I know big word alert for a 9 month old... hahaha
I will be back soon to write more. If you dont have face book get on there and you can add connie, brenda and mom. The pictures of keagan are in bunches there. I dont have many do steal from theirs to put in my "albums"
ttyl gang :)

My dear friend Maria gave me this

wonderful hint that I needed to update my blog. Well I will attempt to bring you up to date. I have been rather busy working at the nursing home and walmart.

Connie and I worked at the polls in November. It was fun and as always interesting to watch the reaction of people voting. We are of course are not allowed to mention anything about the election and when they say something to us we must just say I cant help you on that one. Even though my mind is racing. This time at the voting booth my lovely table with all my ballots, books, and such decided to take a tumble. What a day. My face was red, the ladies helping me were astonished at the crash, and people swarmed in to help pick things up. Except one kind soul just laughed and said your face is red...who could that be? you guessed it.. my lovely sister.

Connie, Mom, Keagan and I have had some traveling days. We went to the flea markets one day. I was trying to be a great sister and daughter and got my ma and sister a nice cheeze cake. Connie's Chocolate and ma cherry I believe. Poor Connie doesnt care for cheeze cake and had a hard time with it. So I got her a ribbon with great performer on it... she really deserved it. We also went to see my ma's sister one day. It was fun just to hang with the 3 lovely people of my life and my dear aunt portia.

Brenda, Connie, ma, and I have went out to eat the lost fifties. I think that it is a neat place and if you are not really hungry you shouldnt go. The food is given in big servings.

One friday nite my family spent an evening with uncle steve, angie, chris, wayne, julie, stephanie and matthew. It was fun to hang out and use the time for a christmas evening. We again were in a great group that loves to pick on each other and as the saying goes the more the merrier :)...

Christmas was spent with ma, dad, Connie, Brenda, Keagan, Jason and Tim. We had fun and of course did what comes naturally to us... pick on each other. I am thinking that is what my sisters and I do best to each other. I am so glad that we can do it in a fun way and have a great sense of humor with it.

Well I will put some pics on here and hopefully you all have a great year.

Well that is all for now... hopefully in 2009 I will do better at this blogging...:)

Not being able to sleep I thought

would add a pic or two of my darling keagan. I am amazed how when you are an aunt, uncle, or grandparent it is so fun to show off the pics. I can only imagine what a mother and father feels when they get a little one. Keagan is a happy baby for the most. I am so glad that we can say that he has survived many trials in his little life from when his mama had so much trouble during her pregnancy. We had many concerns and it seems that if there is going to be any health issues it will be normal ones. Yes I am a proud aunt but I think he has another aunt that is just as proud of him.

This little guy is definetly loved by Aunt Connie. I think he has her wrapped around his little finger. Connie and I often get questioned if we fight over him. Our answer is no.
I guess you might call this next paragraph my soapbox of thoughts but I just wonder at times and even though it might not make sense I hope you get the just of it.
I often wonder how many children go with out knowing what it is like to have an aunt or an uncle spend time with them. I often wonder if spending time like this would help parents out when the going gets tough and need a break. I think the child abuse on the norm could be down if it was practiced some. I dont think a child should be spoiled all the time but I do think that it is really important to have a special bonding with them. I can remember we had times with our aunts and uncles and it was totally awesome. I also can tell some stories but that has to be for another day. Even to this day we have had times with our aunts and uncles and we are not small children. It doesnt have to be alone time it can be together with the rest of the family as it has been for us. I encourage you to spend time with your nieces and nephews for it is a totally fun experience to both. Keagan was able to spend some time with his great great aunt and uncle not to long ago and with the pictures that was taken it will certainly be a memory for him when he is older. Yes looking at Keagan's life so far he is definetly loved by his family and maybe someday I will have a picture album just for that title. :)
The family has been well. We have had a good summer so far and thankfully even though it is hot we are surviving it. Ma and pa left for a vacation in the carolinas and enjoyed every minute of it. I had a 3 day vacation and really loved it. Connie has been vacationing by going to work and making money :) not a vacation per se but she brought in money and we didn't :) Brenda and Jason are doing well.
Well I must go I am finally getting sleepy. This happens when you work 3rd shift all the time. I will sleep until the afternoon most probably now :(.... lol
I hope I didnt bore you to much with this blog just randomly thoughts written out loud.
cya me :)

My dear cousin reminded me the

other day that I was slacking on my blog. :) Thank you very much my dearest. The month of June has past by very quickly and I think that I was left behind somewhere in it. I had some issues with my health again and so that caused me to have slow way down and let me tell you that was a rude awaking to realize how tired I really was feeling. Thankfully my dear family and my dear man helped me through it and are still making sure that I am doing what the doctor ordered for me.

Father's day past and since the computer had been in the shop I was not able to make a tribute to my father.
My dad is totally awesome. I know that we have had our words but we always know that we love each other. Dad has been there for me through the thick and thin of my life and I know that he didn't have to be. He could have totally ignored me but he didnt. I think Dad is the most quietest man until he really has something to say and then it really is exactly what needs to be said. He is a very dedicated dad and I love him very much.

Dad at his B-day Party and Brenda in the background.

Another father comes to mind and we all realize that this is a new beginning for him. Keagan has a very special daddy. Jason has done an awesome job of being a daddy. Congratulations Jason on being a new papa and working hard to be the best for your son.

Jason and Keagan when Keagan was born.

Nothing else exciting has really happen but working, resting and trying to be a good aunt to my little man. Connie and I work real hard to spoil him. I am sure that all know that Gma and Gpa spoil him as well and dont anybody think different but Mama and Papa spoil him also. :)
I hope all have a great fourth of july and I will write more later. I am going to add another pic of my little man and let you all see that he is growing up like a weed. He is 2 months now and is doing well.

May 24 1969

this couple began to travel the married life. They have been steady at it for 38 years and Saturday they started working on the 39th year. Congratulations mom and dad.
They have shown us girls many times that a couple can make it in a marriage. When the going got tough they toughed it out and made it through each valley and mountain that came along. They didnt always have it easy and we never heard them complain about the uneasy times as well. They share a love for each other that makes a young person wish for in their own relationship. They have taught us girls that work, love and fun mixed together makes a marriage. They also showed us that having a Christian atmosphere helps as well to conquer a marriage.
Thank you mom and dad for teaching us such lessons during your marriage.
This is all I wanted to write for now. I will check back later.
